Seven Yuma Union High School students join the National Honor Society, Joanne DeCorse Patsy Miller Bobby Edmonds Eugene Ochoa Mary Lou Jones Bill Keegan and Nina Smith to be formally initiated with a candlelight ceremony. Eligibility is limited to top students and requires a 2.0 average, two semesters in attendance, and leadership, character, and service evidenced by faculty vote. The Yuma chapter, led by Miss Leah Rugge, provides tutoring and support for ill or disabled students and promotes scholarship.
