Mawiza writes from the Philippines describing a long march from Pasay trenches to San Pedro Binyang and a January 6 battle with three companies of the 2nd Battalion E F H. He recalls casualties Corporal Johnson and Private Whinskney, counts thirty nine killed or wounded, and traces a route to Salang Maliplava and Indan. He mentions no mail for three months and poor reception back home.
