He abandons the heaven colony and plans to join a local Christian Science society. Reportedly many followers have deserted the group while remaining adherents continue under his influence as they earn a living selling streets of Rockford.

Mrs George B Harrison, born in Rochester New York and married in Rockford, died in Bloomington at age ST from heart disease. Her husband is a second cousin of ex President Harrison. She was active in church and literary circles in Bloomington. A separate report notes W H Hole’s mansion destroyed by lightning Friday. Mrs Hole severely burned but survived.

He says there were three other men drunk. he watched the train while the others did the work. After leaving the engine they boarded a yawl in the Mississippi river. the leader divided the money. Conley says they cheated him, giving themselves five dollar bills while claiming he was to be paid fifty. They quarreled and Conley swam ashore, the others went downriver. He reached Charleston, was arrested, and brought to Cairo. Conley is about five feet nine, black mustache. He says a companion was a tall, slim young man, and another older heavy set man with a red face and sandy hair who refused to give names. He recalls a two-week notice to meet in St. Louis to arrange the job. Conley was sent to Wickliffe under a five thousand dollar bond. Charles Pink says robbers did not get more than three hundred dollars. Chief of Detectives E. Mor Tray and a large Illinois Central force are hunting the other robbers.
Trustees of the Miiroi State Anti-Saloon League met in Peoria with Rev Horace Reed presiding and Rev C R Caries reporting. The league listed 10609 members and receipts over 10909 for the year.
