Thomas Harper of Woodlawn Jefferson County Illinois about 51 years old was arrested by Marshal Murray under Sheriff Wells direction on information from Sheriff Manion Mount Vernon. He is charged with passing a forged $300 bank note. When seized Sheriff Manion found $290 in his possession. He was taken to Mount Vernon jail to await grand jury action.
