Veterans and teachers association pages and notices

The Bremer County Veterans Assembly held in the opera house featured addresses by Capt. A T Cole and Capt. J M Roberts and elected officers with Plainfield chosen for next year. A pension proposal of eight dollars a month was approved. A long roster of veterans registered, and a camp fire program followed with songs, recitations, and memories. Reports from local civic groups and notices of era veterans, soldiers, and related events filled the page along with ads for salves and remedies.
