Two Bridgeport hunters Morgan and Vose discover a three foot high earthen jar outside Suntyiouk near Newton Connecticut. The jar cracks open revealing a well preserved Indian skeleton seated with head bent and surrounded by shell beads, clam shells, baked food remains, stone implements and several axes. Four additional skeletons and more burned shells are found as digging continues.
A Northlander colony of about twenty five farming families secured roughly 3000 acres in Cullman County Alabama to establish a co operative farm. It will operate as a joint stock company with 200 shares of 1000 dollars each and a cap on ownership at one share per person. Labor will be by the families with profits paid as dividends while plans include adding manufactures at Boon utilizing timber and coal resources.
