Ministers in Conference Twenty Seventh Semi Annual Session of Cedar Falls District of the M B Church to be held in Sumner Iowa on November 30 and December 1 1896. District consists of traveling and local preachers exhorters district stewards one Sunday School superintendent one class leader and one Epworth League chapter president from each charge. District stewards meet Tuesday December 1 at 2 30 p m in Sumner class room.
A historical notice lists a three day program starting Monday at 9:00 with devotional exercises led by W N Brown and papers and discussions, followed by evening services including a Wesley lecture by J Wilkinson. Tuesday offers prayer service and papers with a 7:30 India lecture by H C Stuntz, then Wednesday features morning prayers and essays before adjournment at 4:30.

Chicago Great Western Railway announces the Mantorville Branch from Eden via Wasters to Mantorville in Dodge County Minnesota will open for traffic on or about December 1. A daily train service in each direction between Mantorville and St Paul and Minneapolis is planned, with details to follow. F H Lord, General Passenger Agent, Chicago.
The Chicago Great Western Railway markets through sleeper service to Los Angeles via Kansas City and the Santa Fe route. Depart Minneapolis Tuesday mornings and reach Los Angeles Saturday noon, with no Sunday travel. Reduced round trip rates and comfortable uniform sleepers.
