Final date for Fayette crop tower extended to June 1
Herbert M. Ash, Fayette County ASC Committee chair, announced the extended final date to establish a tower crop on set aside acres due to extreme wet conditions. A mass of thanksgiving was held by Rev. Joseph Vollmecke at his Caimar home for his mother Mrs Angela Vollmecke, who marks her 100th birthday this month, hosted by her children and Dominican sisters from Racine. Myrtle E Barker, 79, of Hitman retires from teaching after three careers including remedial reading and work with handicapped pupils at Monroe County Activity Center.
