Day Camp Highlights for Sumner New Hampton Girl Scouts
Sumner and New Hampton Girl Scout troops attended a five day East Park Day Camp. Activities included pine cone decorations, weaving, knot boards, wood burning, blue printing with wildflowers, and nature study at Twins Ponds led by Conservation Officers. Seventy two girls registered, daily attendance averaged ninety one, with adults aiding.

Fair animals must have blood tests for upcoming fairs
Sumner area 4H and FFA members plan to exhibit animals at Bremer and Fayette County Fairs this year. Members should obtain health certificates and blood tests soon. Certificates must be dated within 30 days before the fair. Swine must be cholera vaccinated 21 days to six months prior. Breeding swine require a negative brucellosis test within 60 days.
