Fire Department Reform and 1921 Organization Push
The Sumner Fire Department saw a push in 1921 to formalize a two-company setup with volunteer members. The plan included official officers, staged funding, and a future city council proposal. A motorized 350 GPM truck followed years of hose and equipment upgrades.
