Sumner town council in regular session votes a water main extension from the Bredow corner on Second Street to Henry Fague's corner with a four inch pipe and an eastward spur. Mayor Littell offers funds for one year. They also plan immediate work on the western extension and set plumbing oversight at daily rates for MecMeekin Koeberle and Harry Brown. The two year exclusive tapping machine agreement with M. Robish & Co. ends and the council will buy the machine for use by licensed plumbers.
June notes show Gene Lennon and family visiting his wife's relatives in Winthrop. Gotleib Staack improves under Dr Ward. Porte Gallop of Fairbank visited Ellis Roberts, as E E Shippy steps down as butter maker and Hubbard hired. Will Nichols family from Fairbank visited Eli Thomas. Pat Cannon returns from St Paul after daughter Sarah’s illness. Wallace Rundle and Joe Everett visit Jim Young in Wapsie. Mrs Will Staack hosts quilting party for fifteen. Harry Bahe family visit Lon Bahe in Wapsie. Mrs John Risley and son Fred travel to Illinois.

M Robish Co and Hobbs Remedy Co offer free sample boxes to test kidney disease remedy. For one week only readers may call at Marr ied Neighb or at Congregational Parsonage New Hampton to obtain a sample and a booklet on kidney functions. The note also praises local bride and groom Winnie Eggleston and Archie Eggleson and their Wi lling to share the news.
