Economic Outlook for 1972 from Iowa State Economist Wisner
Extension economist Bob Wisner of Iowa State University predicts a moderate upswing in 1972 with national output rising about 9 percent and inflation easing toward 3 to 4 percent. Construction, especially residential, and tax measures boost demand while ample credit and steadier rates support growth. agriculture should see strong meat demand, higher farm wages, and easing input costs as credit remains ample and rates may ease slightly.
