W. H. Crears of Creager's Fruit Farm and Nursery proclaims the choicest stock within twenty-five miles of Sumner with twenty varieties of potatoes, latest corn and oats, and growing evergreen stock. He advertises 8060 apple grafts and 25,000 seedling evergreens, plus grapes and small fruit, with salesmen in Sumner including John Sterling and Will Keough. He guarantees stock true to name and offers refunds for non genuine stock.
A defective fire caused the destruction of the St Elmo block at West Union on Saturday afternoon. The blaze, discovered at four, left the building a total loss after three hours of effort. The property owner E A Whitney of Sheridan Wyoming valued at 5000 dollars and insured for 3000. Other losses include Iowa Union Telephone company 500 without insurance and several local businesses.
