Fifty Muscatine county farmers volunteer $500 each to back a beet sugar factory in the county. In Cass county sugar beets sent to Grand Island Neb found 140 percent sugar. Two Dubuque lumber mills close for winter. three mills cut totals 65,000,000 feet. A fatal fall at Glenwood during a source mill accident.

Miss Nellie O Day In buggy accident injures several

A week ago Miss Nellie O Day was thrown from a buggy and hurt. C Cavalryman fell from a wagon on Sunday night November 16 as they started for church. a hind wheel ran over him and he endured a hard squeeze. He is recovering but cannot work. Mrs L D Farnum is sick. School progresses with Miss Viola Johnston as teacher. Mr and Mrs C Biggle of Tripoli visited J M Craine on November 16. Lydia Clary of Dickey visited K Nichols. Rev Finnell reports strong revival at Bell school house with eighty nine conversions. Rev McKown baptized twenty seven at Plum Creek and many more by sprinkling at the school house.
