Sumner teens who helped stage Circle of Safety Auto Check Lane program in late May earned a commendation letter from Governor Harold E. Hughes. Vern Holm, 56, of Sumner, suffered severe back injuries when his truck crashed into a ditch near Fairbank Thursday morning.
