Changes in ASC price support program in 1966 crops
Dalton Meyer, chairman, cites extended 1966 loan maturities for crops such as corn and soybeans to boost repayments and lower costs, with unchanged 1965 dates for corn, soybeans, barley, oats, and rye while other crops shift 1 to 4 months. Extending maturities raises storage deductions if loans remain, and 1967 eliminates advance loan applications allowing loans up to one month before maturity. Also notes a garden display of Frank Quigley.
