Easter prize hunt draws largest Sumner turnout
Palm Sunday and Easter events fill Sumner with family gatherings and church confirmations. The Easter prize hunt drew the largest turnout ever, as hundreds of children hunted for prizes across the business district, with merchants reporting ample prizes but some missed matches. Local families hosted confirmations and dinners for their children at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawkeye, with sponsors and relatives traveling from Ames, Ackley, Waverly, Cedar Rapids, and beyond.
