Carlisle Library Receives 99 Volumes From Local Executive
Charles L. Loop, vice-president of the Southern Express Company, donated 99 volumes to the Carlisle and Haddon township public library. A former Carlisle telegraph operator, Loop has stayed connected with his hometown and supported its public projects. The books were delivered to trustee Mrs. Jim McConnell and are warmly welcomed by the library community.

Pig theft arrest in Farmersburg linked to Forbes farm
Elias Lambert was arrested for taking two pigs from Forbes farm and selling them to Mrs. James Barnhart for 25 cents. He appeared before Squire Pittman with a $50 bond and was jailed to sober up. Rumors spoke of a second man, but no other arrests were made.

Last of Old Davis House Removed to New Lot
The last of the Eliza Davis house fronting Harrison Street has disappeared from its site. D. H. Cummins moved the final room Saturday to his Eliza Speake addition lot. The two story section was torn down last summer for Griffin hardware and the Masonic hall. The back part will be joined to the old millinery shop and used to form a residence for rent.
