New Artesian Well Found Near Sullivan City
A new artesian well one mile east of Sullivan yields a strong flow of water with a mild mineral taste likened to the Mackey well. Drilled by Albert Wallace to 350 feet, the water shows three veins with flows of 2 to 4 gallons per minute from the inner casing. Town officials consider enlarging storage if the supply remains abundant and pure.
