Indiana Crops Benefit From Warm Weather Delays
Weather conditions across Indiana last week were broadly favorable for crops. Corn planting reached 75 percent under good conditions while a few wheat fields bloomed after early frosts. Oats and barley improved in warm late-week weather, rye remained healthy despite frost, and alfalfa, hay, and mint crops showed strong prospects. Strawberries arrived in large quantities with excellent quality. Livestock and pastures remained healthy as farmers hire cautiously.
