Sullivan Woman Mary Poston Dies in Bed at 62
Mary E. Poston wife of County Commissioner William H. Poston was found dead in her Sullivan home on South Court street Friday morning. Officials suspect a sudden stroke of apoplexy after she retired Thursday night. Funeral services were held at her residence Sunday with Rev. S. J. Cross and Rev. A. A. Cohn officiating. Burial at Center Ridge cemetery. She was born in 1857 near Madison County and lived in Gill township before moving to Sullivan. Survived by husband, siblings, and five children.
