Warm Treasurer Race in County Primary Race
The Democratic Central Committee fixed February 6 as the primary date, promising a short campaign. Sheriff and treasurer races heat up with Kelley, Botts, Kemp, Gettinger, Gambill, and Welman among announced candidates. Proposals reflect opposition to long terms, with several districts fielding strong contenders for representative and other offices. John C. Chaney predicts Taft renomination and Indiana staying with the administration, undermining Roosevelt prospects.
