In Pittsburg the 14 year old Bessie Cahill is held on a $500 bail for organizing a skilled gang of boy thieves. Five gang members are jailed with denied bail while warrants go out for nine others on charges of theft and complicity. Cahill allegedly ran meetings, distributed stolen money, and provided passwords and grips as detectives say they traced the Small Man Street Gang to her.

John Herndon near Pleasantville visited relatives here last week. Dr. Durham plans a business trip to Indianapolis this week. Garrett & O'Donald from Burns City nursery visited last week. Local youths attend revival at Graysville M E church. Rev J E Sidebottom is preaching ground sermons. Mr. and Mrs. I N Cashner leave for New Smyrna Florida for the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Scott will leave for New Smyrna in a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Headley of Dugger visited Mrs. Headley's sister Mrs. James Skidmore last week en route to Effingham to reside on a farm near that city belonging to Charles Ackerman.

Pleasantville basketball split a double header with Marco, Institute met with teachers present, and several locals changed stores or moved residences. List of unclaimed letters as of January 19 1910 at the Sullivan Indiana Postoffice includes Miss Roxie Watson and Edgar Bland Thomas Standfield in the ladies and gents lists. If not claimed within two weeks they will be sent to the Dead Letter Office.
In the District of Indiana John C. Annis petitions for discharge. The court sets a hearing for January 81, 1910 in Indianapolis and directs notices to creditors by newspaper publication and mail. Clerk to send copies of the petition and order to known creditors.
Notice states JOHN B. MULLANE appointed administrator of the estate of John F. Eldridge late of Sullivan County Indiana. The estate is deemed solvent. Attorney W R Nesbit noted. First insertion January 19 1910 31.
In Sullivan Circuit Court in 1910 Sarah A Bosstick et al. sue Laure Bosstick and Amanda Sankey for partition of real estate. An affidavit says the defendants are nonresidents of Indiana. They must appear and answer at the court house in Sullivan County, Indiana, by the call of the term.
