A letter from Truth admits the Morey letter to James A. Garfield was a forgery. The publication highlights that the Truth journal first printed the forged item and now publicly retracts, calling for infamy of the perpetrator and noting a formal appendix from B. G. Jayne.
A Chicago Inter Ocean correspondent calculated crop quantities from the Dalrymple farm. At 900 bundles per acre over 18,000 acres the shocks reach 1,350,000 and bundles 16,200,000. Binding wire totals about 7,670 miles.
