George W. Brentlinger known as Doc died Wednesday at his son’s home one mile west of Carlisle after four days of illness bowel trouble. Funeral Friday at the residence with interment in Odd Fellows cemetery. Born October 18 1845 in Kentucky he moved to Sullivan County about age 20. He married Elizabeth Holder who died four years ago and leaves a son Charles and three sisters Julia Fifer John Hoke and Eliza Bates.
