Carmichael bill seeks move of Union Christian College
A bill introduced in the Indiana House by Representative Carmichael aims to relocate Union Christian College from Merom to Muncie. The measure, seen as a counter to a Curry proposal, passed committee and would proceed unless blocked in Indianapolis. Backers say Merom loses a valued institution, while supporters in Merom argue the college draws students from across Indiana.
