Death Claims Aged Graysville Resident Uncle Eph Thomas
Uncle Ephrinm Thor a well known Graysville resident died Saturday after a long illness. He was about 84 and had lived in Turman township fifty years. Funeral services were held at the Graysville Methodist church with Rev. O M Deal and Rev Will Yager officiating. Interment was in Johnson cemetery. He was a longtime farmer, treasurer of Graysville M E church, and past Grand of the Odd Fellows lodge. Survived by son Charles Thomas and grandson Elmer.

Linton Indiana December 14 Pleasant Thornton father of Clarence Thornton who killed his wife at South Linton has hired Attorneys Heaton of Dugger and Guy H Humphreys of Bloomfield for his son. A likely insanity plea is expected and W Ray Collins will issue subpoenas for witnesses for the grand jury ahead of a February term.

Obituary: Owen Kissner of Fairbanks Township Dies at 71
Owen Kissner, longtime Fairbanks township resident, died Saturday after an extended illness. He was 71 and native of Marion County Virginia. Burial was Monday at Pogue cemetery. He served as postmaster, trustee, and huckster, later farming in Fairbanks. He belonged to Masonic and Royal Arch bodies and leaves a wife and several children.

Death of Joseph Cerrell Pioneer Farmer of Haddon Township
Joseph Cerrell, a longtime farmer and pioneer resident of Haddon township, died Friday morning at his home east of Carlisle near the Jefferson township line. He was nearly eighty. Survived by wife and two children John Correll and Mrs. Cash Padgett, both of Haddon township, and grandfather of Grace Padgett of the city.

Sullivan county prosecutor Fred F Bays asked the Indiana board of pardons to reduce Joe Jones life sentence for murder to a two to twenty one year term. Jones pled guilty Sept 21 1914 after being accused in Hymera of killing Andrews following an attack with a poker.

A fifty barrel producer was shot Sunday on Allen T. Osburn land in Turman township. Wells on the W. E. Hardy and C. H. Walters leases yielded 90 and 70 barrels in the first 24 hours respectively, with sand depths and finish depths noted. Additional wells on Alex Raley and Dodds bridge pool show 25 to 75 barrels, with sand at varying depths.

Woman ordered to leave city after conviction
May Downes was arraigned in circuit court on a charge of running a house of ill fame on Olive street. Judge Bridwell fined her 100 dollars and sentenced her to six months in the Woman's Prison, with the sentence suspended if she leaves for her Stoy Illinois home at once. She departed Monday. Joe Bell was arrested for visiting the resort and released on bond signed by S T French of Riverton.

Carlisle men charged with out of season game violations
Deputy Game Warden Dixon filed charges in Squire Watsons court against Charles Plummer Harris Stellars and Aaron Wesley Morris for violations of state game laws. Plummer pleaded guilty to killing a raccoon out of season and fined two dollars plus costs. Stellars pleaded guilty to killing muskrats out of season and paid two dollars plus costs. Morris pleaded not guilty to killing a squirrel out of season and the case set for trial.

Supreme Court Affirms Bridwell Finding in Insurance Suit
The Supreme Court upheld Judge Bridwell’s finding in the Fraternal Aid Association versus Clara A. Gremminger case.
