Fourteenth Annual County Teachers Meeting Honors Veteran Leader
The county teachers association held its fourteenth annual meeting after Thanksgiving at the courthouse. Officers were elected including President Will Asbury and Vice President E Don Maple, with new executive members Miss Lou Williamson and George Bicknell. The program featured Rev David Francis on The Bible as Literature, Dr Blodgett on Genius vs Talent, and George Bicknell’s physical culture drill.

Shrewd Scam Targeting Fairbanks Residents
Three weeks ago Anna L Zorger and husband advertised a Cham paign Ill sanitarium offering cheap treatment and accepting advance payments. She induced notes from residents including Thena Harris who signed for 45 dollars, received a medicine bottle and false promise of future treatment. The notes were cashed at Farmersburg and victims like Alpheus Johnson and Will Ransford faced legal obligations. the woman drove from Farmersburg to Fairbanks to carry out the scam.

Wedding Reception for Will Hays Honored by Sullivan Community
A Tuesday evening reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Hays honored Mr. and Mrs. Will H. Hays with about 130 guests. The event featured carnations, pink and white decor, a Sevres vase centerpiece, and refreshments of ice cream cakes and mints. Attendees included Judge A. D. Thomas, Rev. John E. Fry, Miss Ruth Wilson, and many local residents from Sullivan, Crawfordsville, Terre Haute, Indianapolis, and Tipton.

Surprise Wedding Ties Claude Taylor and Lola Burr
The marriage of Claude Taylor and Lola Burr at Anderson last Friday came as a surprise to friends here. Mrs. Taylor wrote the first notice to her mother, Sue Reed. Lola, a Sullivan society figure, and Claude, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Taylor, recently left Sherman's to take a job with a large dry goods firm in Anderson. The couple will reside in Anderson and are wished happiness by many here.

Otto Krug Birthday and Business Anniversary Celebrated
