Oil Notes and New Wells Start in Gill Township Area
Smith and Williams drilled a good producer Sunday on the Anna Surrells farm in Gill township about 1 2 mile south of Merom Station. Sand was encountered at about 900 feet. The Ohio Oil Company has started four new locations: J B Merrill lease in Fairbanks township section 35 No 10 G W Buff lease in Gill township section 1 No 3, W G Hardy lease in Turman township section 4 No 10, and W Strain lease in Turman township No 3.

Obituary of Mary Belle Gritton of Hymera Kentucky
Mary Belle Gritton born October 31 1857 in Washington county Kentucky suffered epilepsy from age two for fifty six years. She died November 23 at her mother's home in Hymera at age 58. She leaves her mother three sisters and two brothers. Funeral held at her mother's home conducted by Rev W J Williams then burial at Sugar Grove cemetery awaiting the resurrection.
