Sunday School Convention Held At Manns Grove
The twenty first annual convention of the Sunday schools of Sullivan and Crawford Counties met at Manns Grove near Graysville last Saturday. Twelve Sunday Schools attended and officers elected were W S Lester president Clyde Shields treasurer and David Cushman secretary.

Indianapolis Southern to issue 5 million bonds for 110 mile Indianapolis to Sullivan route

Reverend John Ragle celebrated for service in three congregations
Rev. John Ragle, former pastor of the Lyonton charge for five years and later head of the Hymera circuit for five years, is doing splendidly at Fort Branch where he has served one year. He preaches at Fort Branch Blythes Chapel and Cunningham and enjoys broad support. His audiences include members from other denominations and even local doctors. His lifelong study and rise from twelve years ago to support five children shows remarkable progress and serves as inspiration.

Farmer Charles Gilmore Arrested for Nuisance in Creek
About two weeks after his horse died east of Sullivan Charles Gilmore dumped the carcass in Busseron Creek near the water works station. The putrid remains were found recently and led to his arrest on a nuisance charge. He furnished bond.
