He had served as Lovington postmaster since December and chaired the Moultrie County Republican committee. Funeral Friday at 9:30 at Mrs Laura Adkins home with Rev O B Hess and Rev J S Bicknell officiating. Interment Hewitt cemetery. He leaves six children and three brothers.

Death of George W Whitlock at 82 near Hutsonville

Marshall Ill July 30 sheriff James Turner Deputy France and States Attorney Everet Conley raided the Narrows 20 miles south of Marshall on the Wabash river and seized a 30 gallon operating still 18 gallons mash 20 gallons liquor and paraphernalia.
