Burglars hit Ed Kelly and Tom Burton’s residences last Monday night. They entered Kelly’s house through a bathroom window using a jacket to pry it, taking Ed’s everyday gray suit and a small amount of cash. At Burton’s place they entered via the parlor window and took two gold watches, one owned by Burton and the other by Mrs. Clara Marlow, plus about five dollars. The thieves remain unidentified, and the stolen items may be tied to a previous overcoat theft last October.
WANTED FOR MURDER. Three miners were arrested Saturday in Hopkinsville Kentucky for the killing of a deputy sheriff. They were turned loose Monday morning after questioning.

A Saturday arrest at Green Hill yielded three miners from Kentucky for murder, two released for lack of requisition papers. Emanuel Diesson Wilson and Jas. Stevens of Carlisle plan a California departure this week. Mr D will not remain permanently. William Whipps, who left recently, has bought an orange grove and invited Mr Stevens, whose wife is Whipps daughter, to manage it.

For the month ending April 4, 1902 Kell enrollment shows 379 boys and 363 girls in total 742. Daily attendance 557 with 93 tardiness and 265 neither absent nor tardy. Cases of suspension 0 truancy 0 corporal punishment 7. Superintendent W C McContouen signs the report.

Marriage licenses issued for Tiosea Steele to Minnie Pope and Wa F Gott to Flora Nesbit. Drs. James Billman and T W Kennedy performed a neck tumor removal on Louie Reiss Saturday morning. The operation was successful and Reiss is recovering well.
Southern Indiana began clearing the right of way for the Sullivan terminal. The station will be located opposite Capt. W. T. Crawford's residence.
