Death of Nathan McClanahan at Farmersburg aged 79
Nathan McClanahan died last Thursday at his home near Farmersburg at age 79. Born in Virginia January 12, 1823 he moved to Indiana in 1839 and supported his widowed mother. He married Miranda Hill in 1847 and lived near Farmersburg on farms before settling west of town. Survived by his wife and three children Hardy Edgar and Maggie. Funeral at his residence followed by burial at Friendship Baptist Church.
