Henson D. Pittman a former Sullivan resident died Monday at his daughter’s home in Riley Indiana from complications of diseases. A Civil War veteran he was a native of Fairbanks township and lived here most of his life. A son Alfred Pittman survives. Burial was at Center Ridge cemetery this afternoon.

Wheaton Pleads Guilty in Liquor Violation Case
Deputies and a patrolman with a search warrant found a small still and about six quarts of liquor at Thomas J. Wheaton’s home near Paxton. He pled guilty before Mayor Walters, received a ninety day farm sentence and a $135 fine, and was taken to Putmanville.

Death of Mrs Lee Thompson in New Lebanon
Mrs. Lee Thompson of New Lebanon died Monday night at the county hospital. Funeral services were held yesterday at the home of Mr and Mrs Lewis Page where she lived before marriage. The remains were taken to Madisonville Kentucky last night for burial.

John Plummer a 70 year old Jefferson township farmer died by hanging in his barn early Tuesday morning health issues given as the cause. Mrs Plummer found him after calling for breakfast and he was lifeless a rope tied to a beam in the barn. Aged Sullivan County Resident Dies After Illness
William Swift aged 89 lifelong Sullivan county resident died at his home near Farmersboro Sunday March 25 after a short pneumonia illness. Burial was at Nye's Chapel Tuesday.
