Indiana politics and fair gains amid prosecutions and fortune
A long report covers Hon. Joan Lamb striking Thomas Foley with a silver-headed stick, debt concerns in Jennings County Bank, and broad critiques of trustees and school suppliers. It notes a Sullivan county fair success with officers and exhibitors praised, and cites Prohibition-era battles around Gen Neal Dow, William Blaine, and Dr Leonard, plus local notes on a typhoid death, a near suicide case, and a spectacle of charitable coal distribution by Prof John W Spencer and Willing Workers.
