Mutuals Bazaar to Aid Sugar City Ward Meeting House
The Mutual Improvement Association of Sugar City Ward will host a three night bazaar at the opera house on September 25 26 and with a program each night to raise funds for the new meeting house addition now nearing completion. Seven to eight booths will offer fancy work sewing and refreshments with entertainment nightly including Captain Rachel drama a Sugar City talent concert and an old folks social. A small admission will be charged the first night others free.

Burleson authorizes sale of precanceled stamps
Postmaster General Burleson signed an order permitting the sale of precanceled stamps to the public after September 16. The stamps will bear the post office name and be valid for second, third, and fourth class mail and magazines. They cannot be used on sealed letters.

Rexburg Man Killed In Salem Pea Wagon Accident
Fritz Pfost of Rexburg was killed near the Tom Williams place in Salem when two sacks of peas toppled from a wagon, one wheel passed over his neck and the other over his chest. Bishop Joseph E. Rigby witnessed the scene and Pfost was taken to Rexburg. He leaves a wife and six children, a mother, brothers and sisters, and many friends. His daughter Emma was married to Prof. Wing B. Olah of Salt Lake City.
