Rexburg Fourth of July Program Planned at City Parade

Rexburg prepares for a Friday Fourth of July celebration with a grand street parade from Main to the depot and back to the Tabernacle. The day features a program of choral performances, an oration by Rev. H. W. Burger, patriotic services, and children races with substantial prizes at Public Square including greased pig, egg and spoon, wheelbarrow, nail driving, and tug of war events.

Fireworks and races mark Rexburg celebration events

The Rexburg Rexburg celebration features sack races for scouts with point scoring, and a full horse and harness racing program at the Fair Grounds under Fremont Fair Association. Events include trotting and pacing races with multiple classes and substantial prize money, plus evening entertainment, fireworks, a big dance, and bands.

Utah Veterans Head to Gettysburg for 50th Reunion

Sixty six Utah veterans of the Civil War era left Salt Lake City at noon to attend the fiftieth anniversary reunion at Gettysburg. Nearly half of the group fought in the crucial battle. They hesitated until sufficient funds were pledged to cover expenses.

Autos in Park Not Permitted in Yellowstone Season

Interest rose after a report claimed autos would enter Yellowstone Park this season. L. M. Earl pressed Theodore Turner, state highway chair, who said Washington advised limited access earlier but on the 21st he received word that autos would not be possible this season. Turner did not abandon hope but noted odds against securing concession.

It will mail forms detailing information sought, including valuation figures, and mandates filing of reports for all accidents arising from maintenance or operation as prescribed by law.
