On December 11 at the bride's home in Kansas City Miss Patti Henry wed Edward O'Laughlin. The couple will reside on Prospect Ave. The bride is remembered as a friend of Mrs. G. Wadwinston and many wish them a long, happy life.
Ten year old Chas King died after being dragged by a horse near his aunt Mrs Keeler's home. He had been returning from Auburn school near Glasgow when the mount possibly bolted and stepped on him. Miss Ellen Lawson returned from Cottonwood on Wednesday.
Miss Bonnie L McKee becomes bride of Aura D Nixon on New Year’s Day. Ceremony at George McKee’s home at noon. Both are esteemed young people. Miss McKee has taught school and will quit for marriage. They will reside on the Dow farm and receive many warm wishes for a prosperous life.

From Morgan County Illinois, the elderly woman settled two miles west of Hillsboro on the Wheatley farm. Married September 24 1848 to Charles Lazenby who died in 1866. Now in her 81st year, she remains well and hearty and is likely the oldest living woman who arrived in the 1830s.
