Savanna Tragedy Ends in Double Loss and Suicide

Dan Berry, a prominent Savanna lawyer, was killed in Savanna on Monday morning. Bothwell Pulford then died by suicide in his barn at 7:25 AM, gunshot to the forehead. The two bereaved families face public sorrow as inquests and funerals proceed.

Funeral of J F Happer in Morrison and Albany burial

The funeral of Joseph Happer was held this morning at 100 o clock at the family home in Morrison. Rev Mr Wenz of the Methodist church preached the sermon. The Modern Woodmen attended in a body and escorted the remains to Albany for burial where Masonic rites were observed this afternoon.

Funeral for Timothy Buckley Held at St Marys Church

The last rites for Timothy Buckley were conducted this afternoon with a 2:00 service at the family home and a 2:30 Mass at St Marys Church, Father James J Bennett officiating. The casket was laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery as a large gathering of relatives and friends attended. Knights of Columbus carried the remains to the grave.
