The service featured Dr. Horn delivering a forceful sermon on the house of worship as a binding force in a community. The Fourth Street Church dedicates its new chapel with Bishop McDowell preaching a dedicatory sermon in the afternoon. Three services held Sunday with a total attendance noted as substantial. A $4,200 prestige fund or contribution is referenced in the proceedings.

Parents, authorities and residents search the area, with reports of sightings in Savanna. there is concern Parker’s troubled past and possible marriage status. Authorities press on to locate and return them to Paw Paw.

Stirling township commissioners extended the Rock River Traction franchise from January 1, 1906, to November 1, 1906 with a one year extension possible if construction begins by November 1, 1906. The line runs along the north side of the Galt road from the city limits to the west boundary of the township.
Neighbors complained as Chief Gleason and Officer Higby arrested Curtiss-Ross in the First ward on a charge of over driving a horse and violating city ordinances. He was jailed, appeared before Police Magistrate J W Johnson, fined three dollars plus costs, and returned to jail when unable to pay.
From Rock Island comes word that Frank G. Allen will lead the county delegation at the convention to nominate a successor to the late Congressman B. F. Marsh. C. J. Searle may contest in Rock Island city and surrounding districts. Five candidates are named: Searle, Allen, James McKinney of Aledo, George C. Rankin, and Jennie F. F. Fehr. The special election date remains uncertain, with a likely November vote alongside county officials.

The annual Children's Day exercises were held last evening at the First Af Behureh Church. A large crowd attended as all the children performed perfectly and the audience was pleased. The church was prettily decorated with flowers for the occasion. Mrs H Wheat is reported seriously ill in Chicago.
Sixteen members of the uniformed rank of the K of A from Clinton served as a guard of honor for Bishop Kane of Dubuque at the cornerstone laying of a new Catholic church. Thousands gathered along the street for two blocks to witness the event with other services in the church described as impressive and grand. The Clinton party left after a cordial reception and a return train ride.
A Presbyterian ladies rummage booth mishap led to a shawl being sold for fifteen cents while the owner briefly left it behind. Arrangements were made to recover it, only to find the shawl washed and drying on a line claimed to be germ filled by the purchaser.
Port authorities in Kustenji Roumenia order the 750 mutineers aboard the Russian battleship Kniaz Potemkine to land without arms and be treated as foreign deserters while in Roumenia. If they refuse or threaten the town, Roumenian war vessels are instructed to use force and sink the ship if possible.
Walter Pushee and wife returned to Chicago after assisting in Up-to-Date music house for two weeks. The Crown piano house expert is hailed as the finest salesman and demonstrator in the country in tributes to the current sale. Mrs Pushee visited Peter O’Hare’s home. Constantine of Chicago visits O’Brien family in the city.

S D and E patrons barred from front vestibule by Supt John Powers for misusing the riding privilege.
Inquest conducted yesterday following a misstep that caused a death. Harry Dalley recovered the body from its watery grave and is connected to the case as a key figure.
In Coloma township Whiteside county Illinois seven year old Lyle Osborn drowned in the canal feeder Saturday around 4 30 pm while picking raspberries on the east bank near the Dixon road bridge. Cecil Morrison and Leo LeFevre saw splashing, helped, and the body was recovered by Harry Dailey after divers searched the canal bottom. The coroner's inquest found accidental drowning with witnesses detailing the events and recovery efforts. Funeral plans were made for the Osborn family with services in Annawan and at home.
