Testimony Shifts in Billings Case on Keller Name

Mrs. Susan Shultz testifies that Peter Keller formerly used the surname Kellerski and that he deserted Poland’s army with Lub liner, changing names after coming to the United States. She refutes plaintiff evidence and recalls Lub liner diary detailing the desertion and name changes. The master’s court heard three hours of cross examination and adjourned with further testimony planned for next week.

Sterling Victorious 30 13 Over Dixon In Armory Showdown

Sterling high school beat Dixon 30 to 13 at the armory before a large crowd. Hamilton of Sterling eyed a Buffalo trip while Dixon impressed in the first half with strong team play, Robinson disrupting Dixon’s offense and Wright starring in the second half as Sterling rallied to pull away.

Members of the First M E church held a borrowed clothes social at the home of Cyrus Mangan. A large crowd attended and many wore outfits borrowed from neighbors and friends. Some costumes were amusing and drew laughs as the event continued with refreshments.

Motor Cycles Boom for Heaton Bressler in 1905 Trade

Heaton J. Bressler builds motor cycles for 1905 demand and has secured many orders. One machine is designed to travel a mile a minute on the Garfield track in Chicago. He sold a cycle to F. Squires of 241 Franklin Street Chicago, traveling manager of Sterling Supply Company, who will use it on spring trips with his team.

Assessments Doubted as Supreme Court Ruling Sparks Delay

Rumors spread that some property owners may refuse to pay the new assessments after the Supreme Court declared the law unconstitutional. Dr Frank Anthony returned from Milwaukee after a two day session of the Western Surgical and Gynecological Association. About 100 top physicians from the western United States attended, with attendees traveling from Portland Oregon. The banquet was elaborate and a noted German physician also attended.
