The Sterling high school calendar lists a sequence of away and home games and tournaments from September 27 through October 25. Coach Duffy explains golf as a challenge and states the sport rewards better play. He has 12 or 13 years of experience, started with his father at age 11, and favors Dixon Country Club locally. He notes Erville High’s team record and predicts a rebuilding year with limited seniors and new varsity players.
Sterling High’s golf squad opened fall competition with a 158 169 loss to Princeton, then fell 160 166 to Clinton at home.
