SHS Script Pen Pageant Seeks Student Submissions

Students are invited to enter the SHS Script Pen Pageant with prose poetry or essays. Entries must be original, typed or legible, double spaced, under set limits, include student details and teacher signature, and can be placed in the Script room or in Room 105. Winning pieces will be published with author photos.

Seven SHS Seniors Win Letters of Commendation

Seven SHS seniors earned National Merit Letters of Commendation signed by Dr. Plath and John M. Stalnaker. Recipients were Gay Elfline Judy Maxwell Gordon Nunemaker Kenjamin Ogata Kenneth Rick Dave Wheeler and Doug Zeig ler. Commended students are two percent of high school seniors and their scores are sent to two chosen colleges.
