Seniors Stage The Admirable Crichton December 6 7

The senior class presents The Admirable Crichton by J M Barrie in the high school gym on December 6 and 7. New stage light will debut under Lloyd Williamson and James Lawson. George McLanathan heads stage crew with Karl Koster on construction. Dramatics committee formed due to Miss Lawson's absence. The drawing room comedy centers on Lord Loam’s tea with servants Crichton and Tweeny aboard a wrecked yacht.

First G A A Party To Be Held This Afternoon

This afternoon a gala G A A party is hosted in the gym marking the club's first event of the year. Junior members will be formally initiated, lunch follows after school, and six games are planned. A program features a stunt and song from each of the hiking, bicycling, and skating groups.

Seniors Committee Chooses Invitation Style for Class of 1935

Bere Suffers Broken Ankle In Scrimmage Injury

Sterling fullback John Bere broke his right ankle during a Tuesday scrimmage and will miss several weeks. His injury leaves Gleason as his substitute for the upcoming Rock Falls game as Sterling aims to uphold the blue and gold on the field.

Principal Eades Leaves for Springfield Meetings

Mr. Eades left Tuesday to attend the Illinois City Superintendents' association and the Illinois State School Board association meetings in Springfield Wednesday and Thursday. He serves on the nominating committee for officers of the High School Principals' association. Afterward he will go to Champaign for the State Teachers' meeting through Saturday noon November 24.

School Closes At Noon For High School Conference

S H S closes at noon today and teachers plus four student delegates travel to Champaign Illinois for a three day state conference. Delegates Everett Myers Bill Black Arden Ewbank and L T Mortensen attend sessions on journalism debating dramatics and the high school annual with aims to aid guidance for pupils in after school opportunities.

Three Numbers Booked for Lyceum Programme at S H S

The winter entertainment series at S H S lists three programs in coming weeks. Browne's Metropolitan Jubilee Singers perform November 26 with negro spirituals. December 19 brings Stanley Brookes, famed Dickensian recitalist and Quilp impersonator. December 20 features Mme D Pirie Beyea recounting experiences across eighteen countries.
