Modular scheduling at Troy High School challenges traditional teaching
Joseph E. Bechard, principal and former coach, leads a modular timetable experiment at Troy High. Each class is built from 15 minute modules, with courses ranging two to five modules long and time divided by department teams between lectures, group work, and laboratories. The aim is to test whether students learn more and think more independently, though results and long term success remain undecided.
