Debaters Announce 1958 Wheaton Lineups and Banquet
Andrews Barraclough Shannon Salm chosen for first and second teams with a freshman squad. Freshman Mary C Andrews acts as substitute. Banquet planned for Christmas holidays with co chairs Crump and Bauer. Fehrenbach new president. officers installed include Salm secretary, Harshman treasurer, Castendyck business manager. A club party and initiation will precede social activities.

Special Reserve Reading Now Offered by School Library
The school library will arrange special reserve shelves for faculty and classes including a new French collateral reading shelf. About six teachers are using the plan. Books may be renewed after two weeks. Miss Lovrien attended the Illinois Librarians convention in Chicago on the weekend of November 5.

Sterling Chapter of Future Farmers held a corn and poultry show at the coliseum with 23 schools listed including Amboy Ashton Byron and Dixon. Junior Hi-Y Active Starts Year with Joint Meetings
The Junior Hi-Y opened with an October 21 fraternity meeting that merged with the senior group for the speaker. The two subsequent sessions were also combined, and a November 10 separate meeting later joined with the seniors for the remainder of the program.
First Senior Luncheon Heralded a Success
Jean Wooster led the first senior luncheon on Wednesday November 17 with senior class members supplying food and proceeds aimed at funding the annual. A tap dance by Thoris Hoak Zelma Sears Lucille Ohnen and Haroldine Fadden entertained the crowd with Sue Geeting on accompaniment and Miss Turnell supervising. A three act comedy by Ivor Novello titled Fresh Fields features Bodine Havener Geyer and Bissell in key roles. The senior play runs December 2 and 3 at S. HLS gym with a plot about two sisters who inherit a Belgravian mansion and clash with a rich Pidgeon family. The cast includes Ardetta Bodine as Lady Mary Crabbe Mary Jane Geyer as Lady Lilian Bedworthy Dorothy Bissell as Una Pidgeon Jack Havener as Tim and others. Miss Rawson directs, with Miss Neff handling costumes and Miss Goette the scenery.
