STHS Warrior Track leads third at NCIC Meet with key relays
STHS Warrior track team took third with 36 points led by first place 880 yard relay in 1 32.5 by Sisson Speaker Smith Reynolds and runner up mile relay. In field events Loos fifth in discus Marks fourth in pole vault Rodriguez fourth high jump. Fresh soph Braves won high jump and discus with Hagan setting sophomore NCIC high jump record 5 10. Dickinson Massey Win First in NCIC Meet
The Golden Warrior tennis team finished second by one point to Ottawa at the NCIC Meet. Sterling Rochelle Dixon and Ottawa collected several individual titles as Ottawa edged Dickinson Massey 9 to 10 in team scoring. In doubles, Dickinson Massey won No 1 and Ottawa claimed No 2, while Ottawa's duo Chapman Riley defeated Sterling and Rochelle in the finals. Gary Helms claimed fresh soph No 1 singles for Sterling. Wayne Johnson of the Warriors reached the semi finals in varsity singles.

Sterling Park District Announces Summer Sports Program
The Sterling Park District launches a multi sport summer schedule for high school students starting Monday June 16 with programs in archery basketball bowling tennis track and field wrestling and jogging at STHS Stadium Fieldhouse Kilgour Park and Blackhawk Lanes. Public swimming at Lawrence Park pool runs June 7 with two daily time slots. Key events run May 31 through July 27 including AAU district championships and Olympic development tournaments at STHS Stadium and surrounding venues.
