National Honor Society Inducts New Members
The National Honor induction lists 24 juniors including Mark Amesquita Carolyn Capon Jane Cripe Karen Erickson James Fender Kathryn Gretler Kathleen Gryder Becky Gutierrez Ronald Hagen Mina Hicks Jane Hubbard Terri Kendell David Lehman Donna McConnell Jane Over James Pepper Maureen Perou Wanda Shank Malcolm Slaney Ben Stonesifer Marla Van Zuiden Denise Wiethispach Craig Wilkens and Daniel Wolens. Inductees demonstrated leadership and service to the school and will serve as helpers to chairs teachers and organizations. Two induction services were held on May 19, an all school assembly in the morning and an evening event for members and parents.

G A A members honored at annual tea May 10
The Sterling High School Girls Athletic Association held its 20th annual awards tea at St. Pauls Lutheran Church. Karen Bushman welcomed members and guests, with Beth Wolfe introducing special guests. Awards covered aerial dart, basketball class team, local, state, and leadership honors, with seniors recognized and new officers installed for 1976-77.
