Visit to Developmental Center proves interesting to psychology class
A psychology field trip to Dixon Developmental Center on May 4 included tours of four cottages and a pre vocational school with residents who are severely retarded. Students praised the experience for providing new perspectives on how people act and learn.

The FHA HERO met May 3 at the Homestead Restaurant in Sterling for a banquet and brief business meeting. 1977-78 officersMary Royer president Fran Hayden vice president Penny Carr secretary Connie Vollmer treasurer were installed. Mothers Mrs Hayden and Mrs Boyer received plates along with Mrs Amn abaugh Cindy Peska and Debra Stull. 1976-77 officers were awarded pins.

Science Club End-of-Year Bash Honors Seniors
The Science Club held an end-of-year party at Miss Christianson's home on April 21 to honor club seniors. Malcolm Slaney, a senior, won first place at the district science fair with A Study of Stream Morphology Using Computer Simulation and advanced to the state fair on May 6. The club plans a field trip after school ends. New officers elected include President Karen Bellars, Vice President Phyllis Long, Secretary Fan Wolf, Treasurer Donna Schmitt, and recorders Jeff Slaney and Paul Ganther.
