The Corkle church reports progress on its new house of worship with eight days of evangelistic services led by Rev. W. Robertson from Sept 24 to Oct 1. Elders John A. Loy and Jurney Clapp were ordained, and funds totaling 665 dollars were raised for finishing and furnishing. Donations included a Gothic pulpit desk from Snow Lumber Co. and two Gothic pulpit chairs from First Church of Burlington.

Mangum Presbytery Elects Moderator and Opens Session
Mangum Presbytery met at Mangum on September 12 in the First Presbyterian church. Elder E. C. Devin’s retirement prompted Oliver Devin to preach the opening sermon. W. W. Sadler was elected Moderator. L. Hogan preached the doctrinal sermon on regeneration. Curtis joined from Durant Presbytery and was installed at Mangum.

Tennessee Columbia Presbytery gathers in Lewisburg for 1922 meeting
The Tennessee Columbia Presbytery met in Lewisburg on September 26. Rev J W Jackson, retiring moderator, opened with a sermon. Rev J C Malloy was elected Moderator. Two candidates for the ministry were received. The spring meeting will focus on The New Birth by Rev G F Mason. A stewardship conference drew many church members and dignitaries. Next meeting set for April 10, 1923 at Puragiri. Additional Nashville area sessions: Hermitage church met with Rev J H Lacy delivering the opening sermon and Rev J G Johnson elected Moderator. Rev Albert C Holt joined First Church Nashville as assistant pastor. G H Maupin joined Roseville church as candidate. Wil R Johnson’s pastoral relation with Moore Memorial church ended. Next stated meeting slated for Gallatin. A new church was organized at Jacksonville.
